Event Overview
PREMIER MEDICAL TOURISM AND HEALTH AWARENESS EVENT
The GCC was recently named as the medical tourism capital of the world in a new global index of leading destinations to seek treatment, with the United Arab Emirates topping the GCC rankings of the Medical Tourism Association Index 2020-2021.
While the entire region is gearing up for the medical tourism sector to grow, a lot of effort has gone into reversing prior years’ trends of outbound medical tourism and create new opportunities for inbound medical tourism in the region.
A recent announcement by the Dubai Health Authority noted that in 2019, the city saw 350,118 arrivals primarily from Asian, Arab and other GCC countries and has set an ambition target of 500,000 medical tourists for 2021.
Advanced patient-care, state-of-the-art treatments and health-care diagnostics and unique innovations in related technology in the United Arab Emirates along with the country’s commitment to testing and controlling the COVID-19 outbreak and the vaccination drive has resulted in significant patient confidence in considering UAE as a preferred destination for their treatments.
It is against this dynamic background that we are launching the Gulf Medical Tourism virtual event on 30 – 31 March 2021. Bringing together key stakeholders in the medical tourism sector the event will play a key role in showcasing the capabilities of the United Arab Emirates as a key destination to medical tourism facilitator and patients around the world.
Join us and be a part of this unique event that will shape the future of medical tourism in the region.
